18F co-founder Robert L. Read to speak at Agile Government Sacramento

Robert L. Read18F co-founder and former Presidential Innovation Fellow Robert L. Read will be the Agile Government Speaker Series guest speaker on June 12, 2017, 6:00-9:00 p.m., Sacramento, CA at Hacker Lab.

The event is hosted by Agile Government Sacramento.


Rob will be presenting “A View From the Trenches: Agile in Practice,” drawing on his experience with agile in legacy government contexts. Discussion topics will include:

  • Legacy Rewrites
  • Share-in-Savings
  • Estimation
  • Automated Testing

Rob co-founded 18F, a team of innovators and developers within the GSA focused on improving digital development processes for Federal agencies. Rob also created 18F Consulting, a division of 18F helping agencies adopt modern approaches to managing and delivering digital services. He has led agile workshops for federal agencies and co-authored a curriculum for agile methods in government.
