Agile development is high priority for state IT leaders in annual NASCIO survey

FedScoop reportsNASCIO that, for the third consecutive year, agile development is on the list of “top ten” priorities in 2018 for state IT leaders who responded to NASCIO’s  annual State CIO Survey.

Digital government, security, and cloud services – all related to agile in many ways – are also high priorities for this coming year.

NASCIO Executive Director Doug Robinson said in a press statement that the high response rate for digital government is “indicative of states’ efforts to focus on citizen services using digital platforms and integration.” Indeed, the phrase “citizen-centric” has become an increasingly common phrase in the state and local government IT realm …

An agile survey released by NASCIO earlier this year shows that iterative development is helping state government avoid waste and improve project quality.
