Former EPA CIO brings agile track record to Santa Clara County

StateScoopAnn Dunkin, who served as CIO of the EPA for more than two years, is moving with the change of administration to become CIO for the County of Santa Clara, according to StateScoop.

Dunkin was a strong advocate of IT modernization and agile development during her time with EPA, organizing strategies that allow the organization to purchase from tech vendors more effectively while reducing costs.

Now she plans to bring her lessons learned to work for the citizens of Santa Clara County.

“Having worked in local government, I sort of know that local government is where things happen. Counties provide the vast majority of critical services to people, hospitals, roads, bridges, police departments, airports, all of those things.” Dunkin said. “So from that standpoint, it’s an opportunity to contribute at a local level.”
