In StateScoop Radio’s “Priorities” series, IT thought leaders from Maine and Maryland discuss how government is ‘just so ripe’ for the benefits of agile and how state governments can best implement it.
Maryland’s Deputy CIO Luis Estrada said that although the state has a long way to go, agile change and cooperation between agencies is crucial for the future.
“We have projects that go on for eight or 10 years that don’t deliver anything,” Estrada said. “We have to change that culture. We’re implementing an enterprise agile method, and it starts with alignment and removing the barriers between the silos in the state.”
